Thirty-eight scents, a dozen on the wall
Poured forty-eight at a time on Monday and Wednesday mornings, in coconut-soy wax with cotton wicks. Most are named for somewhere within ten miles of the shop.

Sixty to seventy-five minutes at the pour bar, with Colm at your elbow.

Step 1 of 4
Choose your vessel
An 8 oz amber tumbler, a clear glass, a matte tin, or a jar of your own from home. Then a cotton wick to match it.
Step 2 of 4
Blend your scent
Forty fragrance oils on the wall, from balsam to brown butter. Smell them on paper strips and blend up to three; we'll help you get the ratio right.
Step 3 of 4
Pour and set the wick
Your wax is melted and waiting at your station. Stir in your blend, pour slowly, and center the wick with a clothespin while it sets.
Step 4 of 4
Take it home
It sets in about an hour while you browse the wall, or we hold it for pickup for up to two weeks. Give it two days on the shelf before the first light.

The studio
Sadie Brannock poured her first batch in a borrowed church kitchen on the Northside in the winter of 2015. Her brother Colm built the pour bar in 2019, and fourteen thousand candles later the front window of the shop is still the warmest one on the block.
The storefront used to be a letterpress print shop; the type cases are still on the back wall. Candles are poured in the back room on Monday and Wednesday mornings, and the front is the shop and the pour bar.

Do I need to book?
Drop-in pours are walk-in Tuesday to Friday, 4 to 7pm, whenever a seat is free. Evenings and weekends fill up, so book those ahead online or by phone.
How long does it take, and when can I take it home?
Sixty to seventy-five minutes. Your candle sets in about an hour while you browse, or we hold it for pickup for up to two weeks.
What's in your candles?
A coconut-soy wax blend, cotton wicks and phthalate-free fragrance oils. No paraffin, ever.
Can I bring my own jar?
Yes: any heat-safe glass up to 14 oz, and we take $6 off your pour. An old jar of ours counts.
Do you ship?
Anywhere in the US for $8 flat, free over $75. Pickup at the shop is always free.
Do you sell gift cards?
In any amount, good for candles or any session. We send them by email or you can pick one up at the counter.
